Letter from JASON President & CEO

To the Friends of JASON:

Thank you for all that you do for students!

For over two decades, with the support of educational partners like you, The JASON Project has served more than 10 million students with cutting edge STEM programs. During that time, we have provided resources at little or no cost to educators through a partnership with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. However, during the past two federal budgets, funding for JASON has been eliminated, which has brought significant challenges for the organization.

We are committed to moving forward, but as you can understand we must make appropriate changes in our operating platform in order to continue providing students and teachers with the best STEM curricular experiences.

On July 1, 2012, we will begin charging for access to JASON online resources known as the JASON Mission Center. Access will require a registration code that you may purchase based on the number of students and teachers using JASON.

When you purchase online access you will be given a code that will allow you to access the JASON Mission Center. The JASON Mission Center includes electronic access to all existing JASON curricular programs and products. We are providing a 25% introductory discount if you purchase your online access by August 31, 2012. This is our way of thanking you for supporting us during this transition. We hope that it assists you in working with your students.

Pricing is available on the JASON online store. We will be accepting pre-orders immediately with the introductory discount.

JASON has many exciting programs and experiences in development. We appreciate your continuing participation and loyalty. We are always delighted to hear from you and if you have questions or concerns, please call us at 703-822-7238.

Go JASON!

Sincerely,

Stephen M. Coan, PhD
